Ronald McDonald House Westmead is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. We believe that when a child is hospitalised the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.
The Ronny Macs Westmead Team is made up of families who have previously stayed at the House, some who are currently staying at the House, the wonderful volunteers that make the House a Home, our dedicated staff and our fabulous supporters - The more the merrier so please join in the fun and help us keep the doors open 365 days a year.
In 2019, the House is expected to accommodate and support for over 1,360 families with a seriously ill child. Your support allows parents and carers to focus on the health of their child when they need it most.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney
Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney supports over 1,600 families with seriously sick and injured children each year. Since 1981, we’ve been Keeping Families Close- both to each other and their child’s hospital care. Our house at Westmead is a home-away-from-home for 60 families each night from regional and rural Australia, as well as providing access to everyday essentials, home-cooked meals, in-house programs and educational support. We also serve families on ward with our Hospitality Carts located in Nepean Hospital and Campbeltown Hospital.With your help, we give families staying at the House the everyday essential comforts and items they need during their stay.
